Maundy Thursday Service

This much-loved annual service recalls several events: Jesus’ last Passover meal with his disciples, his night of agonizing prayer and betrayal in the Garden of Gethsemane, his trial before the Chief Priests and the Roman civil authorities, and his crucifixion and burial. The quiet, reflective, 60-minute candlelight service begins with a brief sermon followed by Holy Communion and concludes with brief readings interspersed with hymns and service music.
