Faith Formation at Lakewood Presbyterian is a dynamic and growing ministry with a mission of engaging all members into becoming wise disciples of Christ. Through the weekly Sunday School program with classes for all ages, special events and discussions, and age-specific or interest-related community groups, there are many ways to be involved and grow with LPC.
Some highlights of the Faith Formation program include:
- The highly interactive “Journeys” Sunday School program for Elementary Aged children with in-depth stories and crafts.
- Topical Adult Education classes where we connect current events with passages of Scripture and reflections from our own lives.
- A Young Families group for parents with at least one child Elementary aged or younger that meets monthly for fellowship and study of topics such as mindful parenting & spiritual practices.
- Advent Workshop that connects all ages in the congregation for food, crafts, & fun to kick-off the beginning of Advent each year.
- Youth Group that meets every Sunday Night for games, food, fellowship, and deepening spiritual practices. The Youth also have the option of participating in a dynamic mission trip during the summers, and regularly participate in lock-ins and fun outings.
